Title: Enterprise Architect

Must be based in the Dallas/Fort Worth area; strong preference for Hybrid work environment but may consider primarily remote work with a few onsite days each month.

Ground floor, visible opportunity for an Enterprise Architect with a stable, growing company! Will be focused on enterprise solution development across Application, Infrastructure, Cloud, and Security and building out a roadmap for the future.

Required Skills:

-5 years Enterprise Architecture experience

-Experience with multiple diverse technologies, platforms and processing environments

-Strong understanding of strategic and emerging technology trends

-Experience development architecture blueprints, strategies and roadmaps

-Knowledge of back-end development languages such as Java, Spring Boot, RPA, COBOL

-Knowledge of various database technologies such as SQL Server, DB2, and Oracle

-Knowledge of various aspects of technology architecture such as Integration, Network, Security, Cloud

-Strong knowledge of SDLC methodologies such as waterfall, agile, rapid prototyping, DevOps

-Knowledge of ITSM and ITIL

-Knowledge of different modeling languages such as UML and ArchiMate

-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; organized, able to influence and guide stakeholders and peers with decision-making

-Track record of good tenure with progressive technical and leadership responsibilities; preference for deeper corporate IT experience (vs. consulting)

-Strong ability to articulate new ideas and concepts to technical and non-technical audiences as well as translate future state business capabilities and requirements into solution architecture requirements

-Able to propose/estimate the financial impact of solution architecture alternatives

-Able to travel up to 10% (primarily International travel)

Education:

-Bachelor’s Degree

Will be involved with supporting Enterprise Architecture activities that guide development and management of portfolio solutions. Will work with business partners to understand concepts of business goals, outcomes, business processes and importance in determining the solution architecture. Will ensure solutions align with architectural governance and standards. Will be focused on solution development for a range of technologies including systems/applications, shared infrastructure services and shared application services. Will be involved with interpreting business needs to include requirements traceability documents, business process impact assessment, and business process diagrams. Will assess technology by monitoring current solution portfolio to identify deficiencies, understanding emerging technology trends and their practical applications, evaluate/selection of software product standards and services, and consult with application and infrastructure teams on development projects to architect and identify the necessity for modified designs to accommodate solution architecture. Will lead the evaluation, design, and analysis for implementation of solution architecture across business applications or technologies based on the business strategy, requirements and enterprise standards. Will manage and develop the architecture of broader scope of projects/products, develop a roadmap for the evolution of enterprise solution portfolio (current and future state), consult across a broad range of technologies, platforms and vendor offerings. Create architectural designs to guide solution development, work with program management/PMO to ensure plans are executed, and consult regarding application/platform strategy. Will provide enterprise guidance to include deliverable like standard definitions, reference models, and architecture designs to support architectural governance to assess impacts of new and ongoing technology investments on Business and IT. Design and direct governance activities to ensure solution architecture assurance and compliance.
