As a Social Media Community Associate at Wondery Outdoors, you'll share the story of adventure and community with our vibrant online networks. Your primary responsibility will be to connect with our diverse customer base, particularly women, BIPOC, and LGBTQ+ individuals, through Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, and more. Reporting to the Social Media Manager, you'll help grow our online presence with meaningful interactions, promotions of our community events, product updates, and the development of thumb-stopping content. We're looking for an individual passionate about inclusivity, excited about outdoor adventure, and skilled in community building all with a great sense of humor.

Responsibilities

Social Media 101

• Along with the Social Media Manager, care for and monitor Wondery Outdoors' social media accounts (Instagram, Facebook, Tik Tok, etc.) to maintain a consistent and positive brand image.
• Assist in the development and curation of engaging and lol-worthy content that aligns with our mission and resonates with our target audience.
• Prepare caption copy, schedule, and post content to promote product launches, sales, and relevant news or events.
• Film and edit original, timely content for our portfolio of social platforms.
• Respond to comments, messages, and inquiries in a professional and on-brand tone, providing helpful and accurate information.
• Foster a welcoming, inclusive, and warm online community that encourages participation and interaction among our customers.

Analytics and Reporting

• Provide regular reports and insights on community trends, sentiment, and engagement levels.
• Identify opportunities for improvement and propose strategies to optimize social media engagement and growth.
• Monitor social media metrics and performance indicators to assess the effectiveness of campaigns and community engagement efforts.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in social media management tools and analytics platforms.
• Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Ability to stay organized and work collaboratively or autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
• Creative mindset with an eye for visual aesthetics and storytelling.
• Ability to travel to our Hollywood office twice a week.
• Strong understanding of social media best practices and platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, etc.).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt tone and messaging for different audiences.
• Passion for the outdoors and knowledge of outdoor apparel and activities.
• Familiarity with inclusivity initiatives, specifically within the women, BIPOC, and LGBTQ+ communities.
• Proven experience in managing social media platforms and building online communities.
