Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized customer focused individual to join our insurance agency as a Small Group Benefits Account Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of small group benefits accounts, ensuring client satisfaction, and providing exceptional service. Your primary objective is to oversee the administration of small group benefit plans, including plan enrollment, claims processing, and resolving client inquiries. You will serve as the main point of contact for clients, fostering strong relationships and acting as a trusted advisor regarding their employee benefits programs. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of the insurance industry, excellent communication and problem solving skills and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.

Responsibilities
  • Educate and empower clients regarding their benefits plans through employee communication and education initiatives.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for our Benefits Agent to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of small group benefits programs.
  • Manage competing priorities and deadlines while maintaining a high level of attention to detail and confidentiality.
  • Ensure accurate and timely administration of small group benefits, such as processing claims, resolving issues and managing changes to employee coverage.
  • Manage a portfolio of small group benefit accounts, acting as the primary point of contact for clients.
  • Handle client inquiries, concerns, and escalations related to small group benefits, providing prompt and effective resolution.
  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions, benefit plans and other important information.
  • Utilize technology and digital tools effectively to streamline processes and enhance service delivery.
  • Collaborate with insurance carriers and third party vendors to deliver comprehensive benefits solutions.
  • Build and Maintain strong relationships with clients, fostering trust and acting as a reliable advisor.
  • Stay up to date with changes in the insurance industry and relevant regulations impacting small group benefits.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards in the management of small group benefits.
  • Coordinate open enrollment periods, including communication and education initiatives for employees.
  • Assess client's needs and recommend appropriate small group benefits plans based on their requirements and budget.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
