Location: New Albany, Ohio

About the Position

As a Services Technician with ThinkOn, you will be responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of the Data Center. You will work on-site as a member of a team that maintains 24×7 presence at the facility, ensuring uninterrupted delivery of our services to our customers. You will maintain ThinkOn’s high standards of customer service, communicating regularly with customers and keeping accurate records of their requests and your work.

Primary Responsibilities

- Monitoring the Data Center’s environmental and security systems.
- Walking the facility to verify that all equipment is in good working order.
- Receiving customer service calls and opening well-documented tickets for their requests.
- Executing customers’ support requests and escalating to vendors when needed.
- Escorting guests and vendor-dispatched technicians at the facility.
- Racking, installing, and cabling customers’ equipment for onboarding and decommissioning requests.
- Maintaining accurate documentation of customers’ hardware and cabling.
- Keeping the Data Center well organized and clean.
- Handling shipping and receiving of hardware sent to and from the facility.

Qualifications

- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good understanding of IT systems, especially the operation of servers and network systems
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Willingness to work in a 24×7 environment
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to lift 70 lbs. safely and to approach all installations safely and efficiently
- Eligible to get security clearance
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Telecommunications (preferred)
