Data Center M&E Technician

About The Role

• In a Data Centre operation, this function utilises advanced abilities to carry out preventative maintenance and corrective repairs. Keeping an eye on electrical and mechanical systems, such as but not limited to: generators, chillers, electrical distribution, HVAC systems, building management systems (BMS) systems and CMMS work dispatching.

What You’ll Do

• Organise outside vendors while guaranteeing adherence to all applicable rules, regulations, and established processes and procedures.
• Assist in creating and developing SOPs, job hazard analysis reports, and work processes for crucial tasks involving risk assessment. Make sure that the logbooks and CERM documentation are updated.
• Guarantee the proper execution of all duties related to your work, finish the essential training.
• Ensure that all safety procedures and PPE requirements are followed while working under close supervision to perform the assigned tasks in line with established processes and procedures and environment, health, and safety policy. Additionally, make sure all legal specifications and quality standards are satisfied.
• When necessary, accompany suppliers on site visits to make sure the conditions are right.
• Conduct daily site inspections, including servicing and maintenance, of all mechanical and engineering (M&E) systems and technical equipment.

What You’ll Need

• Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, and/or supervisor.
• Knowledge of emergency response/standby/call out activities and protocols. Background in either HVAC or Electrical, preferred.
• High School Diploma/GED required, and a minimum of four years of related experience and/or trade school training.
• Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions, short correspondence, and memos and ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding.
