Position Summary



The Chamber seeks a senior membership and fundraising executive to oversee member engagement, retention, and growth for the Chamber’s top corporate members, representing multinational companies across industries and categories. The SVP will lead a large team with responsibility for managing day-to-day C-Suite relationships, leading renewals, and identifying and cultivating new revenue opportunities. The ideal candidate will be a gifted team leader and coach, with demonstrated experience leading revenue teams. The SVP will demonstrate strong relationship management skills and have deep experience and expertise in partnering directly with C-Suite executives to understand goals and deliver opportunities.


Responsibilities


  • Key member of the Chief Relationship Officer’s (CRO) management team.
  • Partner with the Chamber’s new business team to proactively identify new prospective members within portfolio’s industries, ensure new members are on-boarded smoothly and impactfully, and contribute to new business proposals and pitches.
  • Work creatively and collaboratively with policy expert colleagues to constantly identify new areas of interest for members throughout the Chamber’s advocacy offerings, deliver contracted benefits, deepen overall engagement, and unlock additional areas of investment.
  • Meet or exceed annual team revenue and retention goals; lead the development and implementation of an integrated and strategic revenue plan to grow existing accounts.
  • Lead the Chamber’s membership engagement team, guiding the team’s strategy and engagement with member accounts and leveraging industry expertise and intelligence to share insights and deliver results.
  • Work closely with finance and operations colleagues on revenue forecasting, renewal planning, invoicing, and engagement tracking, using the Salesforce platform and other tools.
  • Personally manage the Chamber’s most significant corporate accounts, working closely with C-Suite decision-makers and senior-most government affairs leaders at top global corporations.
  • Serve as a senior change agent in support of organizational transformation initiatives, developing strategy, architecting metrics, and implementing new processes.


Requirements


  • Superior relationship management experience and sales skills; strongest client service ethic.
  • Bachelor’s degree and 15+ years’ experience in planning and executing the revenue strategy, vision, and growth plan in a fundraising/sales or member/client relations role.
  • Deep intellectual curiosity and a passion for policy, with an ability to unpack complex topics to turn them into digestible, compelling sales opportunities.
  • Strongest presentation and persuasion skills; confidence when conversing with of C-Suite leaders from large corporations in a business development capacity.
  • A growth and learning mindset characterized by openness to challenging assumptions at the organization and personal levels.
  • Excellent written communications skills, a passion for details, and an obsession with accuracy.
  • Ability to effectively articulate the Chamber value proposition to our members, with an interest in politics and policy and a deep appreciation for the contribution that the Chamber makes to the business community at large.
  • A seasoned and impassioned coach with deep experience guiding revenue teams; experience managing teams in a transitionary phase, a plus.
  • Data-driven approach to utilizing a CRM, such as Salesforce, to track progress, identify trends, and grow engagement.
  • Past work experience in professional services, political fundraising, membership organization, government affairs, communications agency, or media company, preferred; direct revenue responsibility, required.
  • Strong techniques around guiding sales messaging with diplomacy, tact, and sensitivity for a range of audiences; organizational and business savvy.
