This pivotal role will oversee the recruitment, retention, and growth of Vice Presidents (VPs) and bankers in Texas and every state west of it. As a key member of our executive team, the successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional leadership skills, possess deep industry knowledge, and excel in an autonomous working environment. Reporting to both the President of Capital Markets and the CEO, the Senior Vice President for Western Markets will play a critical role in driving our continued success.

Responsibilities:

Recruitment, Retention, and Growth:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive recruitment strategy to attract top-tier talent for VP and banker positions in the Western Markets.
  • Identify and engage individuals with relevant experience and skill sets to join our banking team.
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to VPs and bankers to foster their professional growth and development.
  • Nurture relationships with existing VPs and bankers to ensure high retention rates.

Team Management:

  • Oversee and manage multiple teams of VPs and bankers across the Western Markets.
  • Monitor team performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement necessary changes to achieve results.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture, promoting knowledge sharing and best practices.
  • Set clear goals and performance expectations for each team, providing regular feedback and coaching to drive success.

Reporting and Communication:

  • Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations highlighting key achievements, challenges, and recommendations for improvement.
  • Maintain regular communication with the President of Capital Markets and the CEO, providing updates on team performance, market trends, and strategic initiatives.

Revenue Generation:

  • Earn commission based on performance equal to 10% of all revenue generated by VPs on their team, 20% of all revenue generated by bankers operating directly under the Senior Vice President, and 50% commission on personal involvement in deals, acknowledging expertise and dedication (excluding team financing contributions).
  • Collaborate with VPs to identify and pursue new business opportunities, strategic partnerships, and client relationships to maximize revenue generation.
  • Monitor financial performance, proactively identifying growth opportunities and implementing strategies to achieve revenue targets.

Qualifications:

  • Strategic mindset with a results-oriented approach.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the banking or financial services industry, with a proven track record of success in leadership roles.
  • Strong understanding of market dynamics, industry trends, and regulatory requirements.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proven ability to lead and inspire teams, driving high performance and fostering professional growth.

Join our dynamic team and make a significant impact on our continued growth and success. We offer a competitive salary, comprehensive benefits package, and an opportunity to work with a talented and passionate team of professionals.
