Chewy is looking for a Senior Talent Manager to join our Talent Development Team to architect, design, and deliver tailored learning solutions for Chewy University. This would be a Hub-based position (Florida, Boston, or Minneapolis Hub). The ideal candidate will take an enterprise-wide mindset to their work and develop relevant and engaging learning solutions. Your Opportunity
Chewy is looking for a Senior Talent Manager to join our Talent Development Team to architect, design, and deliver tailored learning solutions for Chewy University. This would be a Hub-based position (Florida, Boston, or Minneapolis Hub). The ideal candidate will take an enterprise-wide mindset to their work and develop relevant and engaging learning solutions. They will structure solutions to enhance the end-user experience and build productive and collaborative relationships across the enterprise.
What You’ll Do
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of learning technologies and tools, incorporating them into learning solutions as appropriate.
- Assist leadership in developing presentations, reports, creating visually appealing communications/marketing strategies, internal updates, intranet stories/posts, and other materials to keep team members engaged throughout the year.
- Define ways to measure the success of these initiatives/offerings that demonstrably improve Chewy’s abilities to attract, engage, retain, and develop high-performing talent.
- Manage the collection and analysis of data (inclusive our Learning Needs Analysis Data) to evaluate effectiveness of solutions/programs, communicate insights, and recommend actions to drive continuous improvement across the enterprise and facilitate decision making.
- Source and select key external partners to deliver engaging content that drives the future skills needed in the industry.
- Administer activities on the learning platform and related technologies.
- Position may require travel (up to 25%)
- Work with the business do build custom solutions as needed.
- Partner with external talent development vendors to leverage their expertise and resources in developing targeted learning programs.
- Collaborate with internal subject matter experts to gather and validate content, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
- Provide support to the team, including updating and maintaining team SharePoint/collaborative site(s)
- Design and develop innovative, scalable, and engaging learning solutions and programs that address identified needs and align with Chewy's learning strategy.
- Develop and maintain various guides, materials, and presentations for a variety of audiences.
- Collaborate with business leaders, HR Leadership, HRBPs, and Learning Leaders to define learning objectives and performance goals.
- Lead the facilitation of instructor-led training sessions, workshops, and other learning events, both in-person and virtually.
- Build strong relationships with external partners to stay updated on industry trends and best practices in learning and development.
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in learning and development.
- Build trusting relationships and partner closely with HR COEs and HRBPs to understand needs and propose relevant and impactful solutions to cultivate a culture of learning.
- Utilize instructional design methodologies to create effective learning content, including e-learning modules, instructor-led training materials, job aids, videos, and other relevant resources.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of learning initiatives with other talent development programs and initiatives.
- Continuously improve learning initiatives by gathering feedback, analyzing data, and implementing enhancements based on learner needs and organizational goals.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of learning solutions and programs using appropriate assessment methods and tools.
- Work closely with the Director of Talent Development to execute the vision of Chewy University’s tailored learning solutions.
- Support ad hoc short- and long-term talent development projects to meet current and future business needs
- Proven initiative, positive attitude, team-oriented, self-motivated, and highly enthusiastic
- Data analysis, reporting and summarizing data for key stakeholders.
- Managing workflows for self and others in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders
- Experience managing complex projects and with designing and managing various talent development initiatives.
- BA/BS required (Business Administration, Human Resources or Learning and Development related fields.)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain focus on key priorities despite conflicting demands.
- High attention to detail
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the talent space
- Proven track record of developing and maintaining internal/external relationships across functions.
- Ability to work and communicate constructively with all levels of the organization (Department leaders, managers, individual contributors, learning peers)
- Experience with LMS and/or learning platform a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite
- Developing ILT, vILT, eLearning, and microlearning strongly preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Highly proficient in time management, organization, planning and prioritization.
- Experience working cross-culturally with varied colleagues in matrix environment.
