Job Summary
Geremarie is hiring an energetic and experienced Senior Staff Accountant to join our growing team! In this position, the Senior Staff Accountant will report to the Business Unit Manager and/or Business Unit Director and is responsible for the oversight and coordination of accounting, general ledger bookkeeping, financial reporting and analysis, financial management, business management, forecasting and budgeting, inventory cost analysis, capital expenditures and payroll oversight. Primarily all aspects of Finance as it relates to the operation of Geremarie.
Other Responsibilities And Duties
Working closely with the CFO (Business Unit Director), the Senior Staff Accountant will be responsible for the following job functions, but not limited to:
  • Perform the Contract Administration for Sales for the areas including Aerospace, Medical and Commercial lines of business for AS9100 audit purposes.
  • Recommend benchmarks against which to measure the performance of company operations.
  • Calculate and issue financial and operating metrics.
  • Achieves inventory budget objectives by analyzing variances, initiating corrective actions.
  • Collaborate, innovate, automate, integrate, and digitize all data, documents, and processes where possible.
  • Monthly financial upload and reporting requirements as requested by Patrick Corporate.
  • Provides status of financial condition by collecting, interpreting, and reporting financial data.
  • Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
  • Prepare and file all 5500 filings, 1099’s, ST1’s, ST556 and CRT61’s as requested.
  • Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
  • Maintain system of record to adhere to all accounting best practices, policies, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with all other Front Office disciplines such as the HR team, AP/AR, Procurement, Supply chain management, Shipping, and IT to streamline and share information.
  • Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts in Corporate Tegetic system.
  • Review, collect and manage all business Contracts.
  • Guides Business Unit financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Provide financial analyses as needed, for capital investments return on investment.
  • Calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to management.
  • Ensure all standards are met to ensure proper Certifications are maintained. (AS9100,IS3845, IS9000, etc.)
  • Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures of controls over accounting transactions.
  • Maintain the chart of accounts and general ledger activities.Issue timely, accurate and complete financial statements.
  • Oversee the Quality Management System together with Quality team to ensure compliance.
  • Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for all state, federal quarterly and yearly surveys and audits including insurance, Sarbanes Oxley, IRS tax, and Corporate internal and externally requested information for their audits.
  • Prepares budgets and reports by establishing schedules, collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data and recommending plans to Business Unit Leaders
Requirements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in terms of being clear, concise, and professional with the ability to work effectively with a wide array of plant personnel ranging from hourly employees to senior management.
  • Minimum of 2 years in public accounting is desired.
  • Candidates should have 3+ years’ of progressively responsible experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
  • Prior experience in manufacturing is highly desired.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize multiple projects under tight deadlines and work
  • Experience to include general understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley Act
