Staff Accountant Jobs

The Staff Accountant is responsible for all general accounting functions through month-end close, including journal entry preparation, account/bank reconciliation.

Essential Functions

• Prepares and reviews month-end closings.
• Assists with Financial and Tax Audits.
• Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare journal entries to accounts such as general ledger accounts, documenting business transactions.
• Applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, etc.
• Prepare monthly account reconciliations in support of the financial statements.
• Performs other related duties and handles special projects as required and assigned by supervisor.
• Reviews and analyzes fixed assets.
• Tolerance of multiple demands
• Formulates account/bank reconciliations.

Required Skills

• Multi-entity and/or related industry experience preferred. CPA certification a plus. Must be analytical and have excellent judgment and problem-solving skills.
• Microsoft Dynamics AX
• Excellent computer proficiency in MS Office, including strong knowledge of MS Excel including pivot tables, v-lookups, and financial linking.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in all aspects of accounting, minimum of 3 years as an Accountant or Financial Analyst.
