Senior Shipping & Receiving Technician Warehouse Day Shift

Base pay starts at $26.00 per hour

Day Shift: 6:00 am - 2:30 pm

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Knows and understands all safety rules and precautions necessary for working in and about a manufacturing environment.
• Customer Service. Owns backorder process (identifying, capturing, communicating, and closing), supports claim process,
• Provide Leadership and support to the shipping team through example, team-building activities, etc.
• Work with delivery coordinators for customer deliveries.
• Set up shipments with 3rd Party Carriers
• Process Shipping transactions in computer system. Support other team members with their transactions.
• Work with transportation group to track fleet and transportation costs.
• Schedule/Dispatch Cornerstone Driver Fleet Route Trucks
• Maintain process to ensure all shipped items are completed through the system, and evidence/paper trail is gathered and kept in respective folders.
• Maintain data and notes to support On-Time metric, in order to maintain a root cause pareto.
• General Labor in different departments of the shop facility
• Create and maintain weekly shipping schedule using data from ERP and transmit to all stakeholders. Schedule must include direct to customer, LTL and intercompany transfers for outbound as wells as inbound transfers, material receipts etc.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Excellent customer service skills. Must be capable and willing to reply promptly and communicate in advance to ensure customer engagement and involvement. Must me willing to take and make direct calls as needed
• Previous transportation dispatch experience preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist
• Computer skills (ERP and manufacturing control programs, Email, Internet, Word, Excel, including proficiency in manipulating lists, creating tables and intermediate formulas, etc.)
• Previous work experience in Shipping warehouse environment preferred
• Must possess excellent communication skills
• Areas, (hard hat, gloves, chin strap, safety glasses, arm sleeves and earplugs)

This is a position with the potential overtime. The shifts are 8 hours, 10 hours, and 12 hours long depending on work orders for the day and season of the year.
