Shipping And Receiving Operator

1 Resource Group is currently hiring shipping and Receiving Operators in Baytown, TX for contract to hire positions. As a Shipping and Receiving Operator, you will be responsible for the timely and accurate shipment and receipt of all goods within the logistics industry.

Under general direction of Logistics Supervisor and Supply Chain Manager, this position be responsible for operating a forklift, loading and unloading shipments, palletizing, and any other duties as assigned. This position must maintain attention to detail, double check their work, operate with speed, accuracy, and adhere to all safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate shipping and receiving records
• Coordinate all incoming and outgoing shipments
• Communicate with suppliers and vendors for shipment arrivals
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures
• Process and package orders accurately and efficiently
• Manage inventory levels and organization of storage areas
• Inspect all incoming products and reconcile with purchase orders

Requirements

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Knowledge of warehouse and inventory management
• Experience in shipping and receiving
• High school diploma/GED
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to operate forklifts and other heavy machinery
