ABOUT THE JOB:
The Shipping/Receiving Assistant sends, inspects and records outgoing products. Works with DC to load packages and check their contents to ensure they match the orders. Trains other shippers on the team. May also ship to locations outside of the US contiguous border.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS / PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Other duties may be assigned.
• Start time: 12am to 8am
• Trains new teammates in shipping department.
• Inspects shipments to ensure they are no damages.
• Labels shipments prior to loading.
• Sends shipments and creates paperwork for outgoing deliveries.
• May send shipments outside the US contiguous border.
• Investigates problems and resolves discrepancies.
• Verifies shipments per order requirements.

MINIMUM SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

• Solid organizational skills.
• 2 or more years' experience in a distribution environment.
• High school diploma or GED.
• 4 or more years' experience in a shipping department.
• Strong math and documentation abilities.
  
• Experience shipping outside the US contiguous border is preferred.
• Ability to investigate and resolve problems

WORKING CONDITIONS: The environment encompasses all areas of a Distribution Center, Transportation Department, or Transportation Shop. This position may require work in hot and cold temperature extremes and exposure to dust, dirt, fumes, noise, potentially harmful chemicals, solvents and components, and working in close to proximity to other teammates
