Job Description

PROJECT MANAGER/CONTRACT: HYBRID

Who Staffing is looking for a Project Manager for a full-time contract opportunity with our client. This is a hybrid position.

Job Summary:

As Project Manager/Contract, your job will be to coordinate people and processes to ensure the successful implementation of two key projects to support a coaching performance culture within Underwriting and Operations. You will lead the work to implement a Workflow Management/Distribution Tool and Operational Excellence Leadership Processes on time and producing the desired results. You will be the go-to person for everything involving the project organization, timeline, and delivery against key milestones.

The Project Manager/Contract will lead the development and implementation of an enterprise operations management tool within Operations and Underwriting to improve the customer experience, provide performance insights for coaching, and reduce operational costs. The Project Manager/Contract will also lead the development and implementation of a coaching performance culture, called One Agile Operations, to lay the foundation for high performing teams, drive productivity through continuous improvement focus and ensure sustainability with a focus on coaching, motivation & engagement. The Project Manager/Contract will collaborate with business area leaders, IT resources, Agile Product Owners, and Change Management to own the outcome and derive benefits for each iterative delivery, ensuring that methodologies, standards, and tools are deployed and used consistently.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Identify, secure, and manage project resources to achieve project and organizational objectives in line with the project plan, approved funding and within expected quality and timescales.
  • Manage project related third party and IT relationships ensuring that dependencies are identified and managed and deliverables are achieved, as defined in the project plan and without incurring unnecessary cost or delay to the project.
  • Track, manage and report to key stakeholders project performance metrics.
  • Engage with all sponsors and stakeholders through appropriate and effective communications, presentations, sprint reviews, UAT and interactions to support effective decision-making and be responsible for the outcomes of deliveries against the project roadmap.
  • Ensure comprehensive project, quality, and risk plans are prepared and maintained and issues are actively managed through to their successful resolution.
  • Deliver effective communication to all interested parties including stakeholders, sponsors, and Senior Managers to support effective decision-making and manage the smooth and integrated delivery of projects. Ensure that key stakeholders are engaged in business improvement activities, including implementation and adoption.
  • Identify and manage risks and issues to ensure that critical problems are escalated at the earliest opportunity and mitigating actions are implemented, in line with change control processes.
  • Collaborate with business area leaders, Agile Product Owners, and Principal Product Managers, and business stakeholders to define the strategic and tactical project roadmap, manage and prioritize key features and capabilities, ensuring alignment to Clients’ strategy and timelines.
  • Support the team to help drive change, including suggesting improvements and efficiencies across our client’s processes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Coordinate with Change Management to ensure the people side of change is planned and addressed for all impacted stakeholders, to include communications, training, and reinforcement activities.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) designation preferred
  • BS/BA Degree preferred (may consider equivalent combination of education and experience.)

Experience/Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of change management methodologies
  • Experience with the Verint Operations Manager Tool a plus
  • Experience utilizing Agile delivery methodologies
  • Experience with business transformation
  • 5+ years of experience planning, managing, and executing complex, cross-functional business, Land IT initiatives

Skills:

  • Demonstrated solid written and oral communication skills, with ability to effectively communicate to and influence at all levels of the organization
  • Highly organized and detailed, with strong planning and tracking capabilities
  • High energy, positive, can-do attitude, team oriented, high degree of initiative
  • Highly proficient with Confluence/Jira and Microsoft Office product suite, including MS Project and Visio
  • Professional and engaging style
  • Strong leadership, coaching and management skills
  • Ability to manage time and prioritize multiple projects
  • Collaborative approach, with strong stakeholder management and relationship building skills, with ability to resolve conflict across different business areas and at all levels of the organization
