Job Description

Role Summary.


Axians is hiring an experienced IT Infrastructure Project Manager (PM) to lead a project for one of our largest pharmaceutical clients. The PM should have experience leading projects in pharmaceutical and/or manufacturing environments, preferably both. The associate will be offered an excellent benefits package, including health, dental, 401k, etc.


General Role Description:


1. Work with key stakeholders to establish and agree on project plan and goals.

2. Build, lead, and motivate project team to achieve the project goals, including removing roadblocks and escalating challenges if/as needed.

3. Take ownership of the plan and drive the project to successful completion.

4. Direct outputs of project team, ensuring overall success of project and effective use of resources.

5. Monitor and control execution of project though all phases of the project.

6. Establish project governance and manage the risks, issues, mitigations, and changes.

7. Manage and communicate the project budget and all associated costs, risks, and impacts.

8. Ensure the overall user experience is considered when designing and deploying new solutions and services.

9. Ensure appropriate use of project management methods and tools.

10. Deliver project reporting, including the overall status and performance of the project and project team, and final project completion documentation.

11. Accountable to ensure adherence with security, compliance, legal, and privacy policies and procedures within the project management scope.

12. Complexity: Global and/or cross-functional multi-year projects.

13. Influence / impact: Skilled at working and communicating with Business and IT teams and leaders at all levels.


Required Skills and Experience:


1. Pharmaceuticals, Life Sciences, Healthcare experience and/or Manufacturing environment experience (both Pharma & Manufacturing preferred).

2. GxP experience.

3. 12+ years business and IT Infrastructure experience.

4. Expert knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and budgets.

5. Advanced knowledge of business process analysis and design, IT architecture, and IT technical standards.

6. Excellent communication, leadership, organizational change management, negotiation, influence, and supplier management skills.

7. Strategic thinker with the ability to successfully navigate in complex organizations.

8. Comfortable working in and adapting to fast-changing and ambiguous environments.


Desired Skills and Experience:


1. International business experience.

2. Excellent relationship building and mediation skills - ability to get things done, but with “soft edges” and as a team, bringing everyone across the finish line together.

3. Superb communication skills (written, verbal, presentation, influencing, and motivating) at all organizational levels for both business and technical audiences.

4. Politically savvy and a high level of emotional intelligence (EQ).

5. Strategic-minded.

6. Proven leadership experience, including the ability to motivate the team to execute against decisions/directives that may at times be unpopular.

7. Experience designing, maintaining, reporting, and communicating KPIs and/or Dashboards.

8. Visualization skills - ability to convert ideas and concepts into clear communications materials for targeted audiences at all levels.

9. Resilient with a good understanding of planning and executing Organizational Change Management (OCM).

10. Mergers, Acquisitions, and Divestitures (M&A/M&AD) experience.

11. PMP - Project Management Professional certification.
