Job Description
We are looking for an exceptional Senior Product Manager to join our growing team and help craft Echtra’s next exciting cross-platform ARPG game. The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical abilities, business discernment, and critical thinking. They will also have a track record of building and evolving immersive experiences that raise the bar from an innovation, usability, and design perspective. This individual will play a crucial role in defining our studio’s product strategy and partnering with multiple disciplines and shared services to ensure its successful execution.


Echtra Games is a small game studio in San Francisco with a team of veteran game developers and visionary newcomers who work both on-site and remotely. At Echtra, we value diversity and support work-life balance. We also have great benefits, an open vacation policy, and flexible schedules!


Main Responsibilities:


  • Effectively advocate for product vision & strategy, monitor product progression through completion of milestones, and partner with other parts of the organization including Central Technologies, Central Analytics and Product Marketing to deliver best-in-class user experiences.
  • Support the leadership team in defining and iterating upon the game’s business strategy to build a robust product roadmap for development and post-launch live operations.
  • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team (Design, Art, Engineering, & Analytics) to design, scope, and implement core features that result in an outstanding experience for our players and positively impact metrics.
  • Be the voice of the players!
  • Drive user and competitive research to ensure that product decisions are based on in-depth data analysis and an understanding of the market.
  • Build knowledge and understanding of data-driven insights within the rest of the team through regular communication and the creation of meaningful dashboards and reports.


Desired Skills & Experience:


  • Ability to provide clear direction, set measurable goals and give insight on industry trends
  • Background in AAA cross platform titles
  • Strong communication and project management skills. Able to collaborate with and encourage cross discipline teams to achieve goals.
  • Previous experience with new game development through soft launch to worldwide launch is a plus
  • Minimum of 5 years of Product Management experience in free-to-play game development with a proven track record in managing live operations
  • Strong passion for games, creating fun, compelling and addictive user experiences
  • Ability to create wire-frames, product specifications and white papers
  • Strong project management skills and ability to present work to executive staff
  • Passion for and in-depth knowledge of ARPG mid-core and hardcore genres and other FTP titles in these categories
  • Previous experience building or integrating centralized technology, analytics, and tool is a plus
  • Self directed subject matter expert

The pay range for this position in California at the start of employment is expected to be between $105,000 and $195,000 per Year. However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an 'at-will position' and the company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
