Senior Procurement Manager Jobs

On behalf of our client in Roswell, GA we are seeking a strategic minded, motivated and goal oriented professional for the position of Senior Procurement Manager. This is a new position for the company and will play a key role in the company’s achievement of both short- and long-term strategic goals.

The team at OneJoon are experts in developing solutions for demanding thermal processes to get the best properties out of high-performance and lightweight materials. With aggressive growth plans for the US Market, they are looking to grow their team in Roswell, Ga.

Position Summary

The role of the Senior Procurement Manager (SPM) sets the organizations’ procurement strategy for raw materials, semi-finished goods, finished goods, equipment and spare parts within the company’s North American Division. This includes the formal development and execution of regional and global strategies using best practices associated with the formal RFP processes, bidding, negotiations, and supplier development. As SPM you will have sound market knowledge and act as the link to our suppliers. Understanding our business needs and translating them into sound supplier relationships, which provide reliable and high-quality products and services is essential.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities

• Drive procurement cost saving projects to support our annual profit targets and business plans
• Proactive communication and cooperation within the OneJoon global procurement group
• Accountable for managing an annual direct material spend over $50 million USD
• Lead external procurement to ensure quality and on-time delivery of materials and services at a competitive cost and in compliance with all company guidelines.
• Develop category strategies for key raw materials or material segments
• Analyze and report regional and global industry trends and technological developments
• Develop and maintain a supplier evaluation system
• Ongoing screening of domestic, regional, and global vendors to develop a broad supplier base
• Utilize e-technologies (i.e., RFP’s, internet auctions and on-line vendor management)

Requirements

• Regional responsibility will require domestic and international travel.
• Strong negotiation, contracting and supplier management skills
• Solid ERP user experience, preferably SAP
• Proven record of delivering consistent cost savings
• Superior communication and listening skills to effectively interface with internal customers and suppliers
• Desire and aptitude to develop and advance in the professional procurement function
• Experience with progressive procurement tools, such as cost structures, supplier business plans, electronic auctions, cost savings agreements, etc.
• Ability to manage large complex spend portfolios with strategic implications
• Overall work experience of seven to ten years of which three to five should be in a leading, strategic procurement role in the mechanical engineering and equipment manufacturing industry
• Advanced Microsoft Office Skills
• Bachelor’s degree in science/business/ economics or a related field. An MBA or other related master’s degree is preferred
