Provides sourcing and category management oversight for $1.5 billion in transportation category spend, and direct leadership for Category Managers within Packaging, Fleet, MRO, and Small Parcel categories. Responsible for establishing sourcing strategies and leading sourcing events at a global and / or regional level. Developing and implementing category strategies in partnership with sourcing and contract specialists. Additionally, this person is accountable for partnering closely with business unit and functional leaders to identify opportunities, align on sourcing and category strategies, and deliver tangible results.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Team leadership, including professional development of all team members
- Lead sourcing events along with a team consists of Business Partners, S&P Category Leads, Category & Contract Specialists; create business case recommendations, and partner with the functional business leaders to make final decisions on suppliers
- Set strategy for prioritizing and executing all Sourcing activity for assigned categories
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop forward looking category strategies that gain insights into the category and identify opportunities for improvement
- Deliver exceptional Customer experiences
- Drive forecasting excellence through continuous 18-month forecasting of all projects via our Salesforce workflow solution and ensure all entries are compliant
- Act as liaison between suppliers and McKesson BUs and lead periodic business review meetings with a focus on driving accountability and improved supplier performance
- Provide guidance to S&P Category and Contract Specialists to execute strategic sourcing and support activity

Minimum Requirements
- 8+ years of corporate business experience
- 5+ years of strategic sourcing and category management expertise
- 1-3 years of leadership experience
- 3+ years of experience in these categories, particularly transportation

- Developing presentation materials
- Strong written and oral communication experience writing agreements and creating SLA’s
- Skilled in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel
- Presentation experience to large audiences and executive leaders
- Able to work across cultures effectively, valuing diversity within a virtual team
- Track record of performance
- Excellent reading comprehension and the ability to understand complex contracts
- Problem solving and analytical skills
Education
A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in a related field is required.
Environment
Traditional office requirements. Large percentage of time performing computer-based work is required.

Our Base Pay Range for this position
$106,100 - $176,800
