Director, Capital Procurement Jobs

The Zaxby’s Support Center is looking for a Director of Capital Procurement to join the Supply Chain Procurement team. The individual in this role will be accountable for ensuring the supply of restaurant equipment, supplies, services, and construction materials at the desired economics as required supporting Zaxby’s company stores and franchisees while maintaining optimal quality and functionality. This position is based in Atlanta, GA, and allows for a hybrid work schedule that includes 3 in-office days per week.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Essential duties may include but are not limited to the following:

• Initiate and maintain contracts for all appropriate suppliers
• Understand and monitor key spending trends, cost drivers, market factors, geographic considerations, and strategic importance of critical materials/services in order to implement appropriate sourcing strategies
• Lead enterprise-wide negotiations for business terms and develop contracts for the supply of both standard and complex products and services with new and existing suppliers
• Negotiate the lowest possible landed cost based on product specifications, quality, service levels, and industry conditions
• Continually review supplier performance to ensure optimal supply sources
• Locate, analyze, develop, and maintain a consolidated supplier base to meet the current and future needs of all purchased materials and services
• Identify and implement opportunities to reduce franchisee costs of all required restaurant equipment and construction materials through efficient purchasing processes
• Prepare and analyze RFI, RFQ, and RFP as needed; analyze responses and work with appropriate internal counterparts for best-case award decision
• Recommend appropriate suppliers for use by Zaxby’s company stores and franchisees
• Collaborate with key business partners to set the strategic direction for sourcing efforts related to equipment and construction categories, ensuring integration with the business vision and strategy

QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with chain concept distribution
• Thorough knowledge of the restaurant industry equipment and sources of supply
• Successful negotiation experience along with supplier management and other procurement principles; self-directed with a dedicated work ethic in a fast-paced environment
• Strong planning and project management skills
• Strong and extensive capabilities to perform research, develop strategies and financial analysis
• Accomplished track record of developing purchasing strategies and programs involving supplier partnerships and alliance

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE GUIDELINES

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience: 7+ years of experience in Supply Chain Management in a multi-unit food service and/or food equipment organization
