We are looking for: An experienced Senior Payroll Specialist, to support our US and Global operations with full cycle payroll administration and compliance in a multi-State payroll environment. The ideal candidate is forward thinking, analytical, detail oriented and methodical with experience in payroll administration and knowledge of payroll regulations. Responsibilities will include the management of employee data, ensuring the accuracy of timecards, and timely and accurate payroll submission reports. The successful candidate will ensure payroll procedures are current, compliant, and efficient.
What will you be doing as a Senior Payroll Specialist at SimSpace?

• Provide assistance to HR team with enrollment and other benefits activities
• Prepare employee records for payroll processing in payroll systems (Paylocity & Vistra)
• Assist in the internal and external audit process by providing support and explanation for the information and data required
• Assist employees with time card support
• Download and book payroll related journal entries to ensure timely accounting
• Support the accounting team and assist with month-end and year-end close processes
• Assist employees with questions about their wages, taxes and/or deductions listed on their remuneration statements
• Process reports to analyze payroll data for integrity
• Participate in special projects and initiatives as needed
• Coordinate with People Ops and Accounting to ensure all required tax information is setup in payroll system
• Provide a high level of service and support to employees, People Operations and Finance
• Work with external auditors on the 401k plan annual audit

What are the qualifications to apply? To be successful as a Senior Payroll Specialist, you need:

• 5+ years of multi-state payroll experience
• Team player with excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Experience with HRIS systems, Paylocity experience a bonus
• Strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work with minimal supervision
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
