About the Role:


They will lead a cross functional team that launches Olaplex’s newest and exciting technology and grows existing technology. They will develop the go-to-market strategy, working with the sales teams to set joint business plans with strategic accounts. They will hone and localize our creative campaign, and our media strategy.


OLAPLEX is looking for a Manager, Global Brand Experience & Activations. This role reports into the Director, Brand Marketing. A successful candidate will be responsible for leading the overall Brand Excellence Strategy on a global level, Events/Services, Partnerships & Special Projects. The candidate should be highly strategic, have hands-on experiences, able to drive new initiatives with agility and strong organizational skills in order to create best-in-class retail & consumer experiences to engage and convert consumers.


Summary of Accountabilities


  • In this strategic and planning-focused role, you'll ensure our global retail experiences are on-brand, user-friendly, and innovative
  • Define clear shopper journey, retail standards, and experiential activities for every retail touchpoint
  • Develop overall strategies for the retail excellence that aims to drive more in-store experiences
  • Share best practices and actively contribute to process improvement; deliver results through problem solving and process improvement activities


Retail & Salon In-store Experience & VM


  • Oversee/develop the in-store Consumer Journey for new concepts and experiences; communicate journey and share strategy to Creative team to bring concepts to life across multiple channels in the in-store environment
  • Partner with the Education team to align on training needs to execute in-store experience with excellence
  • Drive collaboration with Creative and Education teams to ensure close alignment and partnership on development of retail & salon strategy
  • Leverage strong organizational and communication skills to manage multiple projects at one time. Communicate vision for all innovative in-store and omni-channel engagement elements including print and digital consumer-facing collateral, experiential technologies to enhance the experience
  • Work hand-in-hand with the Director, Brand Marketing to drive the evolution of the brand retail strategy, including conceptualization, creative briefing, development and communication of strategy to global supporting the regional teams
  • Manage and collaborate with vendors, Procurement and OPS team to produce, price, and value engineer VM elements
  • Provide on-the-ground guidance and problem-solving in key strategic markets.
  • Liaise with Regional Marketing teams across all regions to ensure programs meet regionally relevant needs and are delivered in accordance to regions’ marketing calendars
  • Define experience KPI’s, gather learnings and metrics from regions and affiliates to determine success and ways to improve
  • Manage, create, and update presentation/communication renderings for in-store programs


Experiential & Special Projects


  • Contribute to the development of the strategies, communications, coordination, and organization of global activations (planning, design, and management of public-facing initiatives)
  • Partner with Regional Marketing, Brand Marketing, Education, Creative and IT Teams as necessary to bring experiential retail activations to life
  • Lead experiential platform competitive research, conceptualization, and development and innovation with Director, Brand Marketing; provide guidance and direction in execution of specialized, experiential regionally-focused events and activations (e.g. Partnership Events, Experiential moments, etc.)


Brand Partnerships


  • Collaborate with the Paid Media team to align on KPIs, execute go-to-market plans for brand media partnerships and ensure flawless execution
  • Work with appropriate team members to develop scope, budget and timelines for projects
  • Support in the build out of yearly activation global strategy and ensure project goals are achieved
  • Manage, track and report on project timelines and progression to ensure project goals are achieved
  • Lead brand and media partnerships strategy across all channels and touchpoints, supporting overall brand strategy


About You:


  • Self-motivated to meet and exceed goals; drive efficiency in process, and innovate process to improve overall team function
  • Proven track record of success defining and delivering innovative disruptive ideas to drive long term business results
  • The ability to think and move quickly, and inspire his/her team in an environment where continuous innovation is desired
  • Ability to lead the agenda independently in a dynamic set up
  • Experience in Beauty, previous retail experience or work within the retail industry a must
  • Demonstrated ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
  • Experience in working in a diverse and international environment
  • Fluent in English (verbal and written)
  • Interest in retail innovation and desire to keep a pulse on the latest technologies across all industries
  • Experience in working with partners at multiple levels within the organization
  • High degree of organization and ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously (including demonstrated ability in planning and organizational project management)
  • Strong Stakeholder management skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field. (preferred)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and collaboration skills that enable you to earn trust at all levels
  • Able to be completely self-sufficient, take initiative, seek insight and advice from multiple mentors; comfortable with little oversight on day to day work
  • College degree required, MBA-preferred, with 5+ years related consumer marketing, trade marketing and event experience, preferably in a global environment
