The Role in Brief:

College Greenlight, a division of EAB, has a mission to increase the number of lower-income, first-generation, and underrepresented students who access, afford, and complete higher education. We do this by building and engaging a powerful advocacy network connecting both “sides of desk”: the counselors and organizations who support and guide these students, and the colleges that are seeking to increase their representation and success. We view our work through the lens of access and equity-striving to reduce barriers to education, close information gaps, uncover life-changing opportunities, and help more students to fulfill their potential through education.

Senior Manager, Counselor Engagement & Success, College Greenlight

The Senior Manager, Counselor Engagement & Success is an important member of the College Greenlight team, directing and overseeing our work to maximize engagement with our nationwide network of counselors and community-based organizations (CBOs)- including college access/success programs, TRiO/GEAR Up programs, and schools. This person will lead the development of our strategy and manage team members who support and work to grow our network of CBOs/student advocates. Through their unique experience and expertise in college access, this person will also play an important role in supporting College Greenlight’s college partners and sharing insights with EAB’s broad network of colleges.

This role may be based within any EAB office or remotely within the continental United States.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead or participate in the development and execution of College Greenlight’s virtual and in-person convenings and events throughout the year
  • Represent College Greenlight at convenings of colleges access professionals and colleges admissions officers
  • Motivate deeper engagement of our current partners - e.g., use of our online resources, attendance at our workshops, connections to college partners
  • Strengthen relationships with key national and regional organizations and scholarship providers
  • Moderate events for current or prospective College Greenlight/EAB college partners
  • Lead efforts to engage with College Greenlight’s network of advisors and college access organizations
    • Motivate deeper engagement of our current partners - e.g., use of our online resources, attendance at our workshops, connections to college partners
    • Strengthen relationships with key national and regional organizations and scholarship providers
  • Support current Greenlight college partners in gaining the most value from our services, including best practice trainings, recommendations for working with CBOs, lists of recommended CBOs
  • People manage those dedicated to acquiring, onboarding and supporting our network of college access organizations and schools
  • Collaborate with College Greenlight team to:
    • Support current Greenlight college partners in gaining the most value from our services, including best practice trainings, recommendations for working with CBOs, lists of recommended CBOs
    • Share expertise to support ideation and development of new content
  • Share expertise to support ideation and development of new content

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience developing and executing programming/events to support and engage first-generation, lower-income, and underrepresented students
  • 5+ Years of professional experience including meaningful experience working at a school/CBO in supporting first-generation, lower-income students to/through colleges
  • Deep knowledge and experience related to the CBO community and their work
  • Strong written and oral communication skills; experience developing compelling presentations and communicating insights to inform and influence
  • Effective interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Strong work ethic and desire to effectively support the Greenlight community and impact the nationwide college access space
  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred majors include Education, Business, Marketing, Communications, and the Humanities)
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain trusting relationships with partners and internal teams with a strong focus on partner satisfaction and retention

Ideal Qualifications:

  • Experience with data tracking and content management systems (e.g. Salesforce, AirTable)
