· High level written and oral communication and interpersonal skills

Demonstrated excellent English writing skills

Prior experience as a College Counselor or Essay Coach/instructor is preferred

Knowledge of and adherence to regulations and best practices in college counseling methods

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Strong computer editing and tracking skills

Review student profile materials, interview students and brainstorm ideas to put together the application essays to best present their strength

This is a remote opportunity

Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience

This position is Contract to Hire

Must have availability for one late night a week and one weekend every month to be flexible for students

Residential Counselor positions are live-in positions in coeducational residential communities.

Become knowledgeable of our summer programs and assist with answering phone calls, and inquiries while in the office

Appointments are for ~1 month in length (June 20th- July 28th).

1 week programs & 2 week programs

Supervise and chaperone off-campus trips and activities

You have experience advising students on college applications and financial aid applications

You have experience managing a caseload of students, preferably students from underserved communities

You care deeply about empowering underserved students to be the first in their families to go to college

You are comfortable utilizing data to inform your work and to make improvements to better serve students

You enjoy coordinating and leading events and workshops for students, ranging from college tours to personal statement workshops
