Job Description

At Shipt, we are transforming the grocery shopping experience and giving time back to consumers. Shipt shoppers handpick fresh groceries and household essentials, then deliver them to your door in as little as one hour.


Shipt is looking for a Senior Manager, Content Strategy that will oversee all content efforts across Shipt owned and operated properties. They will be responsible for ensuring all communications across channels are driving back to the same key messages and business priorities. They will drive the editorial planning process on an annual and monthly basis, and will help identify major content gaps across the organization. They will have to work with a variety of stakeholders to drive alignment and cohesion.



Job Responsibilities

  • Work with integrated marketing team to ensure all content is aligning back to key messaging priorities & consumer insights
  • Assess existing tools and resources for content and asset management, making recommendations for improvement across the org
  • Build upon overall cultural activation strategy to identify key gaps for Shipt that help us better communicate our brand POD’s across tactics
  • Use data to drive optimization of content
  • Provide thought leadership in the development of brand storytelling across all tactics, advising on narrative trends that complement brand strategies
  • Drive the monthly editorial planning process, working with stakeholders from owned channels, social media, PR, merchandising, product marketing and more to ensure all communications are aligning back to the same core messages
  • Build annual editorial calendar, getting alignment from all key stakeholders and leadership
  • Work closely with owned properties team to develop SEO-first content programs to help bring in new customer and maintain current members
  • Develop process for ongoing content performance sharing, pulling in results across all tactics



Minimum Job Requirements

  • Fundamental understanding of social media channels, owned properties, email marketing, and SEO
  • Strong interpersonal skills- ability to work with cross-functional teams with bias towards action and innovation
  • Excellent communication/presentation skills; ability to inform, influence across functions and with all organization levels. Ability to story tell well via PowerPoint.
  • 5+ years experience developing and implementing content strategies across tactics
  • Analytical thinker with ability to turn insights into action. Strong strategic thinking and flawless execution, with impeccable attention to detail
  • Experience working and onboarding content and asset management tools


Employees (and eligible family members) are covered by medical, dental, and vision. Employees are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan. Employees will also be eligible to receive discretionary vacation for exempt team members, 10 paid holidays throughout the calendar year and 56 hours of paid sick leave (accrued at a rate of 1 hour for every 25 hours worked). Other compensation includes eligibility for an annual bonus and the potential for restricted stock units.


Colorado Pay Minimum: $69,937

NYC, WA, and CA Pay Range: $83,842-$167,684 Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
