Senior Manager, Asset Creation And Management

A unique opportunity to join a dynamic team at an exciting time in Macquarie’s renewable energy journey within the asset management space. You will be part of the Asset Creation & Management (“ACM”) team within Green Investment Group (“GIG”), part of Macquarie Asset Management Real Assets. As a Senior Manager based in the New York office, you will be working closely with investment teams, portfolio company management executives, and Asset Creation & Management teams in other regions. You will have responsibility for overseeing the performance of a portfolio of GIG investments throughout the investment lifecycle, from pre-investment operational due diligence to divestment. Post investment, you will be leading the development and delivery of the transition and asset creation plans, including governance, business set-up and transition activities, as well as any delegated authority and risk management requirements for the portfolio company. You will support nominee directors in the oversight of portfolio companies and occasionally, may represent GIG in asset steering and project committees with a focus on risk mitigation and value enhancement. You will also be working closely with the investment teams, internal functional specialists and portfolio company management in understanding and ensuring compliance with key project contracts, financing agreements and project regulatory requirements. Additionally, you will also be responsible for leading certain internal strategic and continuous business initiatives. To be considered for this role you will have a Bachelor’s degree and at least 8 years of working experience with background in management consulting and/or asset management of energy investments. You must demonstrate excellent communication skills and ability to build working relationships at all levels. You must be adept at problem solving and critical thinking, with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work accurately in a fast-paced, sometimes uncertain environment. You must demonstrate high levels of strategic thinking and be familiar with best practice for financial reporting, risk management and asset governance along with fundamental understanding of project finance, commercial debt finance and the related accounting. All figures as at 30 September 2022 Salary Range Salary range for this position: $170,000 - $225,000/Yr. Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, peer and market data, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.
