To support our team in the USA, in Winston/Salem, NC at the Innovation Quarter we’re currently looking for a

SENIOR LOGISTICS MANAGER AND UNIT HEAD (F/M/D) – FULLTIME

JOB DESCRIPTION:

An exciting opportunity to contribute to the early-stage development of a young company and to steer the US logistics processes that are at the core of Cellbox’s business, which is the shipment of live cells under physiological conditions. You will be working from our new office in the Winston Salem area and reporting to the C-level at our HQ in Germany. In this role you will ultimately ensure that our customers are able to advance their research and develop life-saving therapies by managing all shipments for our customers in a timely, cost-effective and safe manner. Ideally you enjoy a customer facing role, interacting with stakeholders across the entire scope of logistics and feel comfortable navigating challenges such as avoiding delays in customs and related procedures in this environment. You will be responsible for the Unit in Winston/Salem and have the chance to grow the business in the US.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Operations:

·Booking or arranging shipments from Cellbox to deliver Cellbox products/marketing material to end-customers, distributors and/or conferences/trade shows globally

·For customers who are using Cellbox as the sole logistics service provider, booking biological material shipments start to end

·Work with logistics companies, consultants, brokers and international customs authorities to ensure a smooth global transit for timely deliveries that is correctly declared and documented, including special reference to dangerous goods shipments where applicable

·Monitor shipments, identify potential risks and appropriately respond to any issues that may arise

·Maintain records of shipments along with all documents that are to be archived as required by law and local or international regulations and in compliance with our internal Quality Management System

·Manage inventory across internal and external warehouses

·Manage the inbound and outbound logistics workflows and implement changes as required to improve and optimize the process

·Establish and manage our new small Unit office in Winston/Salem

Import, export and customs:

·Serve as the main contact at Cellbox for coordinating US shipments via our preferred partners and communicate with external stakeholders (brokers/consultants) and authorities in a timely and professional manner

·Maintain records as required by law and applicable regulations for audits and inspections

Live cell transport and customer service:

·Participate in developing logistics solutions with external partners to provide in-time delivery of temperature and time-sensitive biological material and cell-based products

·Support the Business Development Team by planning shipments for our customers and participate in meetings with our partners and customers to identify & provide solutions


WHAT YOU'RE OFFERING:

Essential:

·Vocationally trained logistician, B.Sc. preferred, with previous working experience in a logistics role, that includes arranging shipments, directly or with an external partner

·Demonstrated success in customer focused role and willingness to manage external partner and client relationships

·Fluent in English

Desirable:

·Experience with enterprise resource planning systems, like SAP

·Previous experience in logistics for instrumentation and consumable products

·Basic knowledge of current global customs procedures

·Demonstrates a hands-on attitude with the ability to pay attention to detail and works well under pressure

·Ability to work independently as well as in team setting without supervision when required
