SENIOR LOGISTICS MANAGER AND UNIT HEAD (F/M/D) – FULLTIME

·Manage inventory across internal and external warehouses

·Establish and manage our new small Unit office in Winston/Salem

·Demonstrated success in customer focused role and willingness to manage external partner and client relationships

·Experience with enterprise resource planning systems, like SAP

·Previous experience in logistics for instrumentation and consumable products

Manages the RMA and warranty shipping processes

Manages tool checkout and maintenance

Experience in a supervisory role

Ensures adequate resources are prepared daily to meet project schedules

Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations

Coordinates daily tasks, making changes when necessary due to circumstances

Support RMA management and the movement of inventory in and out of repair locations both on and off site.

Manages communication within the warehouses, carriers and the Business Units to ensure hardware is shipped and received at the correct locations.

Experience with modern ERP systems (Oracle or SAP) are preferred

Able to manage working under time constraints, to multitask, and solve problems.

Strong organizational and planning skills

Understand our current inventory position and help develop next steps to get it under control.

5+ years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain management, preferably in a distribution environment.

Manage supplier risk and ensure continuity of supply through effective supplier management strategies.

Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field.

Strong negotiation skills and the ability to develop and manage supplier relationships.

3+ years of relevant work experience, preferably in strategic sourcing and negotiating a variety of contracts in the logistics industry

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

Develop planning system strategies to improve signals to the supply chain.

Monitor and adjust parameters in the planning system.

Use common processes tools, and information systems.

Analyze and interpret Key Performance Indicators to identify areas for improvement and action plans.

Execute the daily operational logistics processes

Identify potential supply chain failures and mitigate associated risks 

Strong financial and project management skills + SAP knowledge

Prior experience in Materials Management or Operations leadership

Set material management and logistics strategy for the Minnetonka plant by leading a team of logistics specialists, planners, and warehouse supervisor

Lead materials management and planning across F&M Minnetonka site including:

Lead a logistics team and manage daily logistics activities in compliance with EHS, import/ export rules

Minimum 7 years of working experience in a relevant field

Knowledge of sourcing category strategy, supplier relationship management, supplier continuous improvement programs.

Excellent project and timeline management skills to manage sourcing projects end-to-end, from project intake, through onboarding to project closure and transition.

Continually improve supplier performance by setting measurable, contractual, performance targets and related supplier performance management

Experience and skill as a negotiator with the utilization of flexible strategies.

Requires a minimum of 2 years of general warehouse and delivery experience.

Affixes labels to materials and equipment for identification of fixed assets. Maintains records of items, dates, locations and conditions.

Performs a variety of warehouse storage functions including stocking, shelving, filling warehouse orders and checking for adequate levels of supplies.

Inspects delivery vehicles for safety and servicing compliance.

May deliver special delivery packages to various sites and processes delivery paperwork, including purchase orders and signed delivery slips.

Participates in the maintenance of up-to-date stock records, inventory counts, and fixed asset registers.

Knowledge of sourcing category strategy, supplier relationship management, supplier continuous improvement programs.

Input and Query information in Customers Transportation Management Systems.

Knowledge of FAR and DFAR requirements, practices and standards.

Ability to effectively work with all management levels in the company.

Identify and obtain staff capabilities needed to accomplish objectives.
