Senior IT Security Engineer - (Hybrid Role , Must be Florida Resident or able to relocate)

Qualifications:

• College degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience in SIEM, EDR, and other security tools
• Experience in Microsoft Active Directory, MS365, and Azure cloud preferred
• Experience in incident response preferred
• Hospital experience desired
• Florida Resident or able to relocate - on-site or hybrid position
• Knowledgeable in network technologies and enterprise security
• Minimum of 6+ years of experience with network and security monitoring tools, including incident event monitoring, email security, malware detection and protection, and emerging technologies

Responsibilities:

• Leads and mentors others and helps develop skills for other team members.
• Supports vulnerability assessment tasks, including documentation and remediation of action plans.
• Support all IT Security awareness activities, including the creation of phishing campaigns, monitoring and reporting.
• Supports network monitoring activities, including adding log sources, creation of alerts, and documentation.
• Serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in support of projects to provide guidance and support, while ensuring timelines are met.
• Participates in change control related activities and documents all changes.
• Responsible for monitoring security events, investigating potential threats and remediating vulnerabilities
• Leads resolutions and teaches others how to troubleshoot or prevent future occurrence.
• Support the development of Information Security policies, procedures, standards and guidelines based on knowledge of best practices and compliance requirements.
• Actively monitors assigned ISTM tickets, documents activities thoroughly, and resolves issues within the established service levels in a consistent manner.
• Actively participate in local security community working groups, such as Infragard, ISACA, ISSA, and others.
• Demonstrates great teamwork, shares information with others, responsive with all communications/deliverables, collaborates with the team to resolve open issues, and anticipates the needs of colleagues in a consistent manner.
• Takes personal ownership of issues, ensures a high degree of accuracy with all communications/deliverables, completes tasks according to committed timelines, demonstrates excellent service recovery, and communicates with customers in a consistent manner.
• Supports incidents response activities, including but not limited to, log analysis, generations of reports, documentation, and communications.
