Debut is seeking a Senior Graphic Designer for the Brand Lab to work on brand projects across the creative department and support the team with day-to-day creative tasks that cover digital, graphic design, photography and branding. This is a key role within the organization that will help maintain brand standards, organization, and consistent visual language throughout all assets and will directly influence the visual aesthetic of the brand. The ideal candidate will have a robust portfolio, a positive can-do attitude, a collaborative nature, a desire for growth and an interest in the everchanging creative landscape. Motion animation/video work is a major plus!

The role reports to the Senior Art Director. We have a strong preference for candidates able to work in Los Angeles. For the strongest candidates, would consider Remote. Occasional travel required to San Diego.

Responsibilities

• Work seamlessly with the Marketing, E-comm and Social teams, as well as with external agencies, as we continue to grow, evolve, and innovate our brand.
• Serve as project lead for digital campaign work, thinking through creative consistencies across multi-channel, full-funnel campaigns.
• Lead, develop, and execute best in class creative design solutions relating to graphic design, digital design, photo assets and overall branding.
• Be able to brief and collaborate with internal and external partners to execute campaigns and deliver assets on time.
• Responsible for brainstorming concepts, sketching wireframes, prototyping mockups, participating in design critiques, refining design directions, finalizing design details and delivering final assets.
• Help establish and maintain brand standards, organization, and consistent visual language throughout all assets.
• Manage and organize files on server for future access and revisions.

Preferred Experience And Capabilities

• 3+ years of experience working as part of a wider team to deliver creative design solutions all of which are demonstrable through an excellent portfolio of past work; experience in beauty and/or D2C preferred
• Advanced skills and familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, Figma and Sketch (experience in video editing or motion graphics is a plus)
• Strong understanding of digital standards and latest web technologies, image optimization and cross-browser compatibility
• Ability to see the forest and the trees with the understanding of how creative connects to other media channels and helps create a compelling customer experience across channels
• Exceptional communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with every level of the organization
• Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities
• You are willing to travel as needed (anticipated 10%)
• Ability to work independently, comfort with navigating ambiguity, and energized by working in a fast-paced environment
• Highly professional with the ability to be agile and deliver consistent and solid work with quick turnarounds
• Empathy and openness to learning new techniques and from new perspectives
• Attention to detail, with an affinity for consistency, color use, typography, and a keen eye for subtle details

Salary: $70,000 – $80,000 per year
