The Opportunity


Hyatt seeks an enthusiastic Senior Analyst to join our Global FP&A team. In this role, you will be collaborating closely with the broader finance organization, where you’ll be instrumental in continuing to make Hyatt a leading hospitality company. Responsibilities for this role include analyzing and reporting on Hyatt’s consolidated results, collaborating closely with teams across the organization including members of the Executive Committee and playing an integral role in Hyatt’s quarterly earnings preparation. The Role


The Senior Financial Analyst – Corporate FP&A will be responsible for analysis of Hyatt’s consolidated financial results, budgeting/forecasting in support of the corporate business unit, monthly close process and assist in the preparation and review of key executive level materials including Quarterly Business Reviews, Board Presentations, and Earnings Releases. The role will also contribute to departmental reporting, prepare ad hoc analyses, and participate in projects as needed. This role has direct communication with all levels of management within the company including members of the Executive Committee and will partner with them in developing their annual budgets and updates to their forecasts.


  • Leverage statistical and operational data to draw correlations between periodic operational and financial results, providing greater insight and decision-making abilities to senior management.
  • Opportunities to participate in Hyatt’s Diversity & Inclusion activities.
  • Serve as primary point of contact with corporate business contacts on financial matters and related questions.
  • Assist in addressing ad hoc requests.
  • Complete/oversee monthly financial responsibilities for various corporate departments. Responsibilities include variance analysis compared to internal expectations and determining how favorable or unfavorable results may affect full-year expectations, budget development and re-forecasting, accruals, and invoice review and processing.
  • Identify areas of opportunity and efficiency savings in areas of responsibility.
  • Assist in preparation of various materials for Senior Leadership and Board Presentations as well as review of Earnings Release and related materials.
  • Gather and report information for annual regulatory reporting as well as year-end audit reporting.

Qualifications


Experience Required:


  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or another Business-Related field required
  • 3+ years of experience in finance or accounting
  • Knowledge of hotel industry and previous SEC and financial experience a plus


Experience Preferred:


  • Strong PC skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Financial ERP / Reporting system knowledge (Oracle and Hyperion preferred)
