Senior Corporate Strategy Analyst

Overview

Paychex North America Inc. seeks a full time Senior Corporate Strategy Analyst at our offices located at 2700 Patriot Blvd, Suite 300, Glenview IL 60026 to serve as a primary liaison to Product, IT (Information Technology), Sales, Finance and Marketing teams to develop and implement new and effective data strategy and solutions.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and analytical support for special projects and ad-hoc analyses including financial modeling, data analysis, competitive monitoring, and market assessments;

Establish standards for data and user access to data that support system scalability and longevity;

Support team members’ ability to self-serve data through the development and maintenance of data repositories;

Evaluate alternative technologies and data sources for incorporation into data analysis processes;

Extract data from various internal & external systems, including Enterprise Data Warehouse, Oracle, and Salesforce in support of various projects and analyses;

Create analytic dashboards in Power BI or Tableau;

Maintain and build partnerships with various corporate business units and IT departments to ensure efficient functioning of interdepartmental processes;

Contribute to the creation of presentation materials for key officer and board meetings to support the development and review of the company’s short- and long-term strategies.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree (or foreign degree equiv.) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or closely related field, plus three years of experience in any data analytics role. In the alternative, Employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign degree equiv.) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or closely related field, plus five years of experience in any data analytics role.

Experience, which may be gained concurrently, and pre- or post-graduate degree, must include each of the following:

• 2 years of experience designing and implementing ETL (Extract-load-transform) pipelines to extract data from various systems including Salesforce, Microsoft SQL server, Oracle, and EDW (Enterprise data warehouse);
• 2 years of experience documenting technical specifications, developing training plans, and mentoring new team members; and
• 2 years of experience developing analytical reports and dashboards utilizing Salesforce, Power BI, Tableau, Tableau CRM, or similar tools;
• 2 years of experience with strategic roadmap planning and project management;
• 2 years of experience generating standard and custom reports summarizing KPIs (Key Performance Indicators), statistical analysis, quantitative and qualitative analysis, and A/B testing;
• 2 years of experience developing and implementing dataflows utilizing Alteryx, Tableau CRM, Einstein Analytics or similar tools;
• 2 years of experience working with Python/R and its libraries;
• 2 years of experience analyzing complex information, interpreting business requirements and designing appropriate data processes;
• 2 years of experience with payroll processing applications, related databases, and infrastructure.

Required to attend quarterly/semi-annual meetings at Paychex headquarters in Rochester, New York.
