Senior Financial Analyst & Accountant

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Addresses questions and resolves concerns with clients (receivables), suppliers (payables) and with company employees (payroll)
• Demonstrates proficiency with business intelligence tools and advanced Excel features and tools.
• Ensures accurate and timely delivery of information for processing payroll, commissions, and employee bonuses
• Creates and maintains standard reports such as variances between planned vs. actual budgets and revenue, or accruals, burn rates, amortization, etc.
• Plays a key role in the completion and maintenance of month end closings. Proactively compiles and maintains data for reconciliations, balance sheets, and income statements
• Participates in the timely completion of various accounting functions such as budgeting, auditing, forecasting, AP, AR, tax preparations, reconciliations, reporting, etc. Develops financial models that forecast business outcomes and profits and trends and patterns in large datasets and presents findings for all levels
• Pulls and analyzes financial data from various sources to help guide the organization in critical business decisions
• Completes ad hoc data analysis projects that will provide actionable insights on financial performance
• Develops data models and applies other forecasting tools that will automate the analysis process

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 2+ years' experience with accounting functions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, auditing, financial reporting, reconciliation, etc.
• Demonstrated expertise in analyzing data, drawing insights, and communicating the business relevance of findings to Management
• 4+ years’ experience with business intelligence tools and advanced Excel proficiency for data extraction and modeling
• Self-starter with critical thinking skills and attention to detail and accuracy.
• 3+ years’ experience with QuickBooks Online and/or similar ERP and accounting systems
• Bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or similar area required. Master’s degree a plus.
