Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Financial Reporting Analyst with experience in managing external reporting, including 10-Q, 10-K, and other regulatory filings. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, compliance with applicable regulations, and supporting the development of the company's external reporting strategy.
A day in the life could look like:
  • Coordinate with the accounting, finance, and other cross-functional teams to gather necessary information and supporting documentation for external reporting.
  • Prepare and review external financial reports, including quarterly and annual filings (10-Q, 10-K), ensuring compliance with GAAP, SEC regulations, and other applicable requirements.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of financial reporting standards, regulations, and industry best practices, staying updated on changes and their implications for the company's reporting processes.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of financial reporting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of the company's external reporting strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in special projects and initiatives, such as financial systems implementation, process improvements, or regulatory changes, as needed.
  • Monitor and maintain the company's financial reporting calendar, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely submissions.
  • Collaborate with the internal and external audit teams to support financial audits and reviews, providing required information and addressing any discrepancies or issues.
To be successful in this role, you must have:
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with a commitment to accuracy and the ability to follow issues through to resolution.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, SEC regulations, and financial reporting requirements.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent professional certification is a plus.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial reporting, preferably with a focus on external reporting and SEC compliance.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in financial reporting software and tools, such as Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.

  • Experience with financial systems or reporting tools is beneficial.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Good analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, with a commitment to accuracy.
  • Knowledge of financial reporting best practices and methodologies, with a focus on external reporting and compliance.
  • Familiarity with GAAP, SEC regulations, and financial reporting requirements.
  • Experience in preparing or reviewing SEC filings, such as 10-Q, 10-K, and other regulatory reports, is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing requirements.
  • CPA license or equivalent professional certification is a plus but not required.
