Senior Engineer Manager Jobs

RESPONSIBILITIES

Plans, implements, coordinates and manages all mechanical operations, maintenance, communications, energy management, and manpower development programs for a facility, campus or portfolio of buildings.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Supervises and reviews all technical operations to include system air balancing reports, boiler, chiller and cooling tower performance testing; mechanical and electrical system noise and vibration control, tenant work orders, CFC chiller replacement and conversions.
• Designs and develops construction management including HVAC system comparisons and make appropriate recommendations to include HVAC systems and start up monitoring.
• Assist with due diligence and building evaluations for possible acquisitions or development projects.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Perform value-engineering studies and evaluate contractor qualifications and recommendations.
• Develops and provides for ongoing improvement of preventive maintenance and engineering procedures, hazardous materials communications plan, indoor air quality programs, preventive maintenance programs, budget operating costs estimates and comparisons.
• Evaluates and recommends building automation, energy management and automatic temperature control systems.
• Oversees implementation of programs to ensure compliance with life safety programs and procedures, domestic water quality control and water treatment programs to include environmental and safety compliance.
• Manages all facets of inspections and surveys, including energy audits and analysis, HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems, environmental compliance, accessibility compliance, acquisition and third-party surveys.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Provides formal supervision to individual employees within single functional or operational area. Approves subordinate's recommendations for staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action and termination. Effectively recommends same for direct reports to next level management for review and approval. Plans and monitors appropriate staffing levels and utilization of labor, including overtime. Prepares and delivers performance appraisal for staff. Mentors and coaches team members to further develop competencies. Leads by example and models behaviours that are consistent with the company's values.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Universal CFC certification required. Additional certification in three or more of the following: HVAC, electrical, mechanical, HVAC and refrigeration systems, process controls, mechanical power transmissions, painting, plumbing, carpentry or engine repair. Certifications/licenses as may be required by local or state jurisdictions.
• Minimum of seven years experience and/or training.
