Job Description
Teamwork makes the stream work.

Roku Is Changing How The World Watches TV

Roku is the #1 TV streaming platform in the US, and we've set our sights on powering every television in the world. Roku pioneered streaming to the TV. Our mission is to be the TV streaming platform that connects the entire TV ecosystem. We connect consumers to the content they love, enable content publishers to build and monetize large audiences, and provide advertisers unique capabilities to engage consumers.

From your first day at Roku, you'll make a valuable - and valued - contribution. We're a fast-growing public company where no one is a bystander. We offer you the opportunity to delight millions of TV streamers around the world while gaining meaningful experience across a variety of disciplines.

About The Role

As the Sr. Director of Operations Program Management, you will lead a team with the direct responsibility to organize and drive activities focused on the successful execution of Supply Chain Operations deliverables from product introduction through cessation of manufacturing.

As part of a successful product engineering and operations team, this role directs and leads operational efforts towards the successful execution of new product initiatives, continuous improvement of supply chain efficiencies and to drive product cost optimization. This role also engages with key stakeholders to provide understanding of supply chain requirements and obtain alignment in accordance with overarching project objectives.

Compensation packages are based on factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, certifications, and specific geographical location.

This role is eligible for health insurance, equity awards, life insurance, disability benefits, parental leave, wellness benefits, and paid time off.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Work with cross functional leaders to define development of all new product initiatives providing operations input and guidance
  • Drive key operations deliverables (supplier selection, supply chain readiness, risk mitigation strategies, COGS optimization).
  • Lead the planning, management, and execution of operational initiatives throughout the product lifecycle
  • Develop measurable KPI’s and the associated metrics to develop continuous improvement across the function.
  • Lead the planning and execution of simultaneous production ramps across multiple factories in separate geographies
  • Build cross functional relationships socializing operational requirements and the milestones required to maintain product launch schedules. Escalate risks related to non-conformance with these milestones and associated mitigation strategies.
  • Align efforts across operational disciplines (supply chain, product quality, logistics) to ensure ramp execution and product launch readiness
  • Collaborate with Product Engineering and Manufacturing Quality teams to discover and onboard new manufacturing partners.
  • Lead a team focused on identifying opportunities for process efficiencies and cost optimization across the supply chain.
  • Drive factory capacity and capital equipment planning to ensure optimal production output to meet required inventory availability while maintaining cost targets.
  • Establish processes and methodologies that drive predictability, timeliness of deliverables, and risk mitigation.

We're excited if you have

  • Leadership experience managing a team of highly skilled professionals.
  • Deep understanding of multiple disciplines related to hardware manufacturing
  • Demonstrated success launching products in a fast paced, high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • 15 years Program Management experience in Manufacturing Operations or Supply Chain
  • A strong background in supply chain and manufacturing in the Consumer Electronics or IT industry
  • A BS (or higher) degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management or related field
  • Experience in Process Engineering or Product Development
  • Experience with Asia-based outsourced manufacturing

A strong candidate will be

  • An influencer with an ability to bring awareness of complex issues and drive consensus
  • A data driven problem-solver with a tendency to be practical and innovative
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and with the ability to adapt and be creative.
  • Highly collaborative by nature; transparent and open-minded
  • An excellent communicator with a strong sense of professionalism
  • A “hands on” leader with an eagerness to contribute and deliver results

The Roku Culture

Roku is a great place for people who want to work in a fast-paced environment where everyone is focused on the company's success rather than their own. We try to surround ourselves with people who are great at their jobs, who are easy to work with, and who keep their egos in check. We appreciate a sense of humor. We believe a fewer number of very talented folks can do more for less cost than a larger number of less talented teams. We’re independent thinkers with big ideas who act boldly, move fast and accomplish extraordinary things through collaboration and trust. In short, at Roku you'll be part of a company that's changing how the world watches TV.

We have a unique culture that we are proud of. We think of ourselves primarily as problem-solvers, which itself is a two-part idea. We come up with the solution, but the solution isn't real until it is built and delivered to the customer. That penchant for action gives us a pragmatic approach to innovation, one that has served us well since 2002.
