Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) to lead our healthcare organization's efforts in creating a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive DEI strategy, as well as driving initiatives to create an inclusive environment for all employees and patients.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and manage DEI training programs for employees, leaders, and providers to promote cultural competency and awareness.
  • Develop and lead the implementation of a comprehensive DEI strategy that aligns with the healthcare organization's values, mission, and goals.
  • Collaborate with HR, Talent Acquisition, and other internal departments to ensure that DEI practices are integrated into all aspects of the organization.
  • Partner with community organizations and leaders to support outreach and engagement efforts to diverse populations.
  • Develop and implement initiatives to attract and retain a diverse workforce, including recruitment strategies and employee engagement programs.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to promote and support DEI initiatives.
  • Monitor and analyze DEI metrics to identify areas for improvement and develop action plans to address any disparities.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as Diversity and Inclusion, Human Resources, or Business. Master's degree preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing and motivating teams.
  • Deep knowledge of diversity, equity, and inclusion principles and practices, as well as laws and regulations related to DEI.
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting, with the ability to use data to inform decision-making.
  • Experience developing and implementing comprehensive DEI strategies and initiatives.
  • Passionate about promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in healthcare.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in DEI leadership roles, preferably in a healthcare setting.
