Job Description

Key Role:

Maintain an editorial calendar for the periodical elements of the Unstoppable Together portfolio, including podcast, magazine, and summit. Develop topic and source guest ideas for the podcast and research, write, edit, and socialize podcast episode scripts for guests and the host. Develop editorial plan for each magazine issue, identify sources of input for each article, draft various features, and manage editorial reviews, including interviewers, DEI team, legal, and vendor. Develop, draft, and refine summit panel abstracts, summit communications, and content needs for the Unstoppable Together website and email campaigns. Update existing and create new Unstoppable Together Conversation Cards to correlate with new summit sessions and in reaction to business needs and world events. Ensure all content is accessible, 508 compliant, and user-friendly. Complete content requests on deadline while following firm style guide, firm brand, and project specifications. Work with stakeholders, including DEI Sector Councils, BRGs and Networks, and DEI leadership to help them define their content needs and revise and edit content, as requested. Track and measure the impact of DEI-related content and conduct research on DEI best practices and industry news.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience in project management, including developing and executing project plans, managing budgets and timelines, knowledge management, and communicating with stakeholders
  • HS diploma or GED
  • Ability to work with senior stakeholders under tight deadlines and translate ideas and concepts into professional products, including speeches, talking points, PowerPoint presentations, articles, briefings, emails, and more, as needed
  • Knowledge of DEI principles and practices
  • 5+ years of experience in a content-creation field, content development, or technical or creative writing
  • 3+ years of experience with DEI
  • Ability to submit writing samples

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with graphics
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with audio editing, social media, and online marketing
  • Possession of excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $73,100.00 to $166,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
