Senior Digital Counsel Jobs

Eaton's legal department is currently seeking a dynamic Senior Digital Counsel who will be reporting to the Vice President and Chief Counsel of IP, Digital, Innovation and Technology.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $168,750- $247,500 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program, long term incentive and comprehensive benefits.

What you’ll do:

The Senior Digital Counsel will provide Eaton’s digital business partners with counseling on digitalization, software, and technology topics, as well as some day- to- day commercial matters. This position will provide high- quality legal counsel to support our Eaton’s digital office and digital focused businesses as they grow and develop their offerings within the organization, including negotiating commercial agreements, counsel on digital, software and technology legal issues and collaboration with internal stakeholders and outside counsel.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Executive influence, communication, collaboration, and coaching skills
• He/she should have experience with multi- jurisdictional transactions and software contracting is essential.
• 10 years’ post qualification experience with recent experience in digital areas of contract law.
• Advanced knowledge and desire to continue to building knowledge in the digital contracts space.
• He/she should have experience with reviewing, drafting, negotiating, and closing a broad range of technology agreements, including security product and service transactions of all kinds on premise software licensing. They should have familiarity with SaaS and other cloud transactions, technology, hardware purchases, professional services, maintenance, and support agreements.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution. Law degree from an accredited institution is also required.

LOCATION:

This position can be based at Eaton’s US HQ in Beachwood, Ohio and/or in Moon Township, Pennsylvania. The team will also consider remote work with frequent travel.
