Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Provide legal support regarding compliance with company policies regarding consumer protection and risk management. Collaborate with internal departments to align business objections with risk mitigation efforts.
• Review, approval, and processing of legal documents and pleadings. Create and maintain legal templates and forms related to litigation.
• Legal project management. Working with more senior counsel, assist in the development or development and implementation of internal litigation systems and process improvements.
• Conduct legal research, analysis, and support on various topics including finance regulations and consumer protection.
• Assist in-house attorneys and outside counsel in the day-to-day management and administration of the company’s litigation portfolio, including litigation data tracking, evidence collection, ediscovery, discovery and subpoena responses, record keeping, and reporting.

Required Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:

• Excellent project management skills.
• Must demonstrate ability to communicate effectively, both verbal and written, at all levels of the organization
• Juris Doctorate from an accredit law school required
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, handle and prioritize simultaneous requests, and manage laterally and upwards.
• Highly proficient computer skills required, including Excel and Microsoft Office
• Creative and analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
• Prior document review or eDiscovery experience preferred but not required.
• Prefer candidate with experience in solar, sustainable development and consumer finance
• Exceptionally organized, detail-oriented, and efficient.
• Experience with lending laws and regulations preferred but not required.
• Ability to critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs
• Experience supporting large, multijurisdictional, complex cases a plus.
