Position Overview
Title: Senior Curriculum Manager, College Leadership Tools & Training
Position description: The individual in this position will translate cutting-edge research into processes and materials – including learning outcomes, curricular agendas, materials, and assessment and data tools – for use in professional development programming for community college presidents and their teams, to be deployed in-person and virtually. Among the responsibilities of this position will be the development of new materials based on both existing and new research in close collaboration with internal and external partners.
Essential duties and responsibilities
- Develop curriculum for the presidents’ communities of practice in Aspen CEP initiatives
- Effectively project manage the development of curricular materials by building and monitoring project timelines in collaboration with other project managers at Aspen CEP
- Contribute to internal knowledge management processes by routinely updating existing materials and sharing new learning from projects internally
- Prepare speakers, faculty, and coaches to effectively deploy curriculum
- Contribute to grant reports and other written products demonstrating impact to funders and the field
- Develop curriculum (including specific learning outcomes, detailed agendas, presentations, interview/panel questions, coaching guides, action planning resources, pre-work, participant guides, and other tools) for both in-person and virtual institutes for college leaders and teams
- Manage onsite delivery of curriculum at in-person institutes and events for presidents
- Collaborate with the curriculum team to support other projects as needed (i.e., serving as a team facilitator for virtual events, peer reviewing documents)
- Collaborate deeply with internal Aspen CEP teams and external partners (such as those at the Community College Research Center) to ensure close alignment between curriculum design and delivery
- Develop curriculum for community college presidents for new offerings to the field to support transformational community college leadership
Knowledge, education, and experience
- 7+ years working experience preferred
- Experience translating research into curriculum for executive audiences or applying adult learning theory
- Bachelor's degree required
- Masters degree in education, educational leadership, public policy or related field preferred
- Knowledge of community college sector with preferred experience in student success reform (incl. advising, transfer, workforce, guided pathways), either through research, field delivery, technical assistance, or as an employee of a community college
