This position is in PCG’s Human Services practice area on the Aging & Disability Services (A&D) team. The A&D team works with states and providers to design, develop, refine, evaluate, and manage programs that support older adults and people with disabilities. Our mission is to help our clients improve the lives of the people they serve. The A&D team is seeking to add a skilled, team-oriented Senior Consultant that will help us fulfill this mission.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Collect and analyze data and create reports and other written content based on that data
- Conduct presentations and oral briefings for clients
- Develop new business and growth opportunities
- Have mastery of, and the ability to interpret and apply, federal and state policy in your areas of experience/knowledge
- Other consulting responsibilities as necessary
- Lead client engagements, with an emphasis on engagements with agencies supporting employment for people with disabilities, such as vocational rehabilitation agencies.
- Lead proposal efforts, including managing proposal teams, writing content, and coordinating submissions
- Supervise and provide direction to project staff, including subcontracted staff
- Manage complex projects and produce sophisticated workplans and deliverables
- Develop strong relationships with clients and serve as a key contact for ongoing communications
- Ability to work with colleagues and clients in virtual videoconferencing settings, including Microsoft Teams, Zoom, etc.
- Strong creative, strategic, and organizational skills
- Attention to detail and ability to analyze and manipulate large data sets with accurate results
- Ability to work both in a team situation and autonomously
- Ability to quickly recognize issues and identify solutions
- Ability to follow, critically evaluate, and improve upon current processes
- Proficiency with Microsoft applications, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Ability to learn, understand, and apply policy
- Ability to accomplish tasks and goals and move multiple projects forward within a specific timeline and budget
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Demonstrated history of perseverance through challenges
- Proficiency or expertise in other software products for communication, data analysis, surveying, etc. (preferred)
- Ability to provide excellent client service
- Ability to lead and manage teams, as well as work autonomously
- Project management knowledge and skills
- Graduate degree or bachelor’s degree with relevant leadership experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications, in particular Excel
- Proficient in writing professional communications and reports
- 7+ years of relevant work experience in the field of employment for people with disabilities, transition and employment for people with disabilities, communications, evaluation, or the consulting field
- Knowledge or experience in leading successful systems change initiatives
- Knowledge or experience engaging stakeholders or providing training
- Experience managing or supervising staff
Applicants from Indiana or surrounding states are preferred. Work is completed remotely, but the position may require up to 50% travel.
