Job Description

Role Summary

A team member in this role is responsible for providing client services tied to affordable housing program payment processing and accounting functions.At the simplest possible level, this translates to ensuring that payments on behalf of program residents are paid and recorded timely and accurately. Direct client interactions are common and usually come in the form of requests for information, recurring project meetings, troubleshooting support, 1-on-1 training sessions and/or service requests of varying difficulty.Regular communication with the following client and agency roles should be expected:Regional Directors, Property Managers and their site support staff, Property Accountants, Local Housing Authority case officers, HUD and/or Contract Administrator representatives.


Core Functions

·Analyze and maintain resident lease charges and rent ledgers

·Post and reconcile resident payments

·Investigate aged rent balances and support collection efforts

·Oversee, support, and administer TRACS (Tenant Rental Assistance Communication System) activities

·Oversee, support, and administer resident affordable program recertifications

·Advise clients on relevant, affordable program policy and/or compliance best practices

·Advise clients on property management software functions, reports, and/or “how to” questions

·Analyze property accounts receivable and recertification status reports and support the development of action plans

·Conduct basic training sessions with individual client stakeholders and/or smaller teams (of 2-3 participants)

·Other duties as assigned
