Summary
As part of the Old Navy Marketing Operations and Technology team, the Airtable Specialist is responsible for optimizing and maintaining Airtable bases throughout the department, ensuring they foster efficiency, transparency, and collaboration. This role serves as a subject-matter expert on all Airtable-related matters, overseeing the design of new solutions, the maintenance of existing bases, and the enhancement of our Airtable ecosystem. Additionally, the specialist acts as a first point of contact for Airtable users within the department, offering support, providing training, and collecting feedback.
Key Responsibilities:
- Stay updated on platform releases and advocate for the internal adoption of new features and enhancements.
- Design, evaluate, and optimize Airtable bases for various teams, ensuring they align with evolving business needs.
- Serve as the department’s go-to assistant for related inquiries or challenges.
- Coordinate with Airtable support and development teams as needed to address technical issues or request feature enhancements.
- Collaborate broadly to create and implement cross-team workflows.
- Conduct training sessions to maximize the effective use of Airtable systems and features.
- Create and update documentation detailing best practices, workflows, and processes.
- Monitor and report on Airtable usage metrics within the department, recommending areas for improvement or further training.
- Facilitate periodic communications to share Airtable procedures, updates, and insights throughout the department.
- Maintain data integrity across Airtable bases with regular quality reviews and data reconciliations.
- Participate in the Airtable Enterprise relationship, assisting with account administration and user management.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Ability to provide training and support to team members on Airtable best practices.
- Proven experience in Airtable design, maintenance, operations, or project management.
- A robust understanding of database design principles.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- A track record of translating business requirements into functional Airtable designs.
- In-depth expertise in Airtable, especially in building custom apps and interfaces.
- Adaptability in handling ambiguity and shifting business objectives.
Desired Characteristics:
- Knowledge of the larger No-Code/Low-Code ecosystem.
- Familiarity with creating integrations using APIs.
- Basic developer capabilities: JavaScript knowledge is a plus.
- Good interpersonal and collaborative skills.
- A positive, proactive, and eager-to-learn attitude.
Experience in customer success or onboarding roles for project management platforms
