Quotation Specialist Jobs

Schneider Electric has an opportunity for a Quotation Specialist located remotely. In this role you will utilize technical knowledge to prepare bills of material for quotation packages for commercial and industrial projects.

What will you do?

• Interpret customer requirements, match products to customer specifications/drawings and ensure the quote is technically compatible and competitive.
• Understand the Sales Engineer’s strategy and creates a bid package which optimizes opportunity success.
• Interpret, analyze, document, and communicate contractual, technical, and commercial terms and have a working understanding of bid strategies and market conditions.
• Communicate with Sales Engineers to determine/clarify project requirements.
• Provide bills of material with comments on exceptions and built-in value for use by the Sales Engineer in customer bid proposals.
• Embraces and fully utilizes new tools and technology to improve efficiency.
• Participates in order handoff process as needed to ensure proper order conversion.

What qualifications will make you successful?

• The individual in this position will be knowledgeable of electrical distribution products including: Switchboards, Motor Control Centers, Pad Mount Transformers, Panelboards, Dry Type Transformers, Variable Frequency Drives, etc.
• Candidate must have the ability to use computer application configurators to build engineered to order equipment bills of material.
• BSE or equivalent experience required, 3-6 years industry experience.
• Must be able to effectively utilize company software programs/collaborative tools and have the ability to manage several tasks simultaneously.
• Must be a self-motivated team player with good time management, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Understand and be able to apply NEC, Equipment Standards and local Codes and should have a basic understanding of competitor products.
