Senior Cloud Engineer Jobs

C-THRU, our patented augmented reality vision and navigation platform, is designed to reduce visual complexity and enhance safety. In collaboration with DHS, fire agencies, and a fire safety market leader, Qwake is commercializing their platform and launching their flagship product this year. We’re at a critical inflection point of growth and on a path to launch our flagship product this year.
About the Role:
Qwake Technologies is seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior cloud Software Engineer, to continue development of our AWS solutions using NodeJS and Typescript.
Our AWS cloud architecture has:

• Two web portals
• A Telemetry system
• A near real time Messaging system
• Management of multiple instance of an IOT device
• A near Real time video streaming, and storage

We operate using an OKR (objectives and key results) framework.
Role Objectives:

• Meet project timelines
• Think through & implement dashboards to indicate system health status
• Document as needed
• Think through & implement systems for provisioning new devices and new firefighters
• Design for high availability of >99%
• Scale the system to thousands of users
• Build databases to manage user data, device data, and event data (fire fighting events)
• Consider operational cost of system while designing it
• Build new and refactor old NodeJS modules to manage data, messaging, telemetry, etc

Requirements
Experience / Skills:

• 2 - 5+ years troubleshooting complex cloud issues
• 2+ years Cloud IOT experience
• 2 - 5+ years coding with NodeJS & TypeScript
• 2+ years on high availability cloud systems (24/7 operation)
• 2+ years deploying and employing SQL and noSQL databases
• Strong debugging skills
• 2 - 5+ years designing on AWS
