The Cloud Engineer II works closely with the Software Engineering and Support divisions to research, design and implement systems and/or infrastructure. They assist in the design and management of cloud systems, applications, policies, and strategy. P02-Intermediate: Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Typically requires 2-4 years of related experience.

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining up-to-date and extensive knowledge of cloud products and technology
  • Assisting in the design and management of Inductive Automation’s cloud systems, applications, policies and strategy
  • Developing and modifying scalable architecture to support applications and infrastructure on IaaS and PaaS platforms
  • Evaluating and identifying the best cloud solutions for the organization
  • Incorporating security management and privacy requirements into cloud hardware, software, and applications
  • Designing controls and processes that utilize available audit tools

Requirements

  • Business Requirement Gathering
  • 2-4 years of Cloud Engineering experience, or related field
  • Application Performance Monitoring (APM) Software
  • Requirements Engineering/Analysis
  • Cloud Architecture, Cloud Computing
  • Availability Management
  • Systems Design
  • Strong skills in cloud technology (AWS)
  • Network Security software
  • Cloud Infrastructure Monitoring Software, Cloud Platform as a Service (PaaS) Software
  • IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service), PaaS (Platform as a Service)
  • Experience with:
  • Must be highly competent with Linux/Unix
Based on the Sacramento region, the new hires minimum and maximum target salary for this level II role is $110k - $140k.
Inductive Automation’s ranges are market-driven and set to allow for flexibility. Although it is not typical for an individual to start at the top end of the range for the position, compensation decisions are dependent on: the facts and circumstances of each case, work location, job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training; and other business and organizational needs.
