The Senior Category Manager will develop and implement procurement category and contract strategies for PV Solar equipment with emphasis on PV Modules in support of RWE Clean Energy (RWECE) business.
Responsibilities:

• Use coordination skills to meet the needs of Development, Engineering, Construction, and Energy Marketing (Partnering) to successfully construct solar farms and energy storage projects in North America.
• Supplier Identification and Management; identify potential suppliers, establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and monitor their performance to ensure consistent adherence to quality and delivery standards
• Sourcing and Procurement; lead the sourcing process, including soliciting bids, conducting market research, analyzing proposals, and selecting suppliers with the most competitive offer
• Contract Management; develop and manage contractual agreements with suppliers ensuring compliance with legal and company requirements, and fostering long-term relationships with those suppliers.
• Data Analysis and Reporting; utilize procurement tools and systems to generate reports, analyze procurement data, and provide insights to optimize decision-making
• Risk Management; monitor and mitigate potential risks in the supply chain, including supplier disruptions, changes in market conditions, regulatory changes, and compliance
• Foster a collaborative work environment providing guidance and support to procurement staff members and actively participating in cross-functional meetings to achieve company objectives.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing market conditions and respond quickly to changes in the build program

Qualifications:

• Strong communication skills.
• Familiarity with solar equipment (PV Modules, BESS, and Inverters)
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing market conditions and respond quickly to changes in the build program
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or Engineering
• Minimum of 8 years work experience in procurement or engineering in the renewable energy business with a primary focus on solar PV.
• Thorough understanding of the market and regulatory environment
• Knowledge of the procurement process and experience in negotiating large power generation equipment contracts. Excellent analytical, negotiation, and decision-making skills, with the ability to assess risks and manage priorities effectively.
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the time

Pay range: The annual base salary range for this position in California or New York is $120,700 - $181,000. The listed salary range represents our good faith estimate for this position and represents the range for new hire salaries across all U.S locations. RWE considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s education & work experience, training & certifications, and key skills as well as market and business considerations at the time of the offer.
