Category Manager Analyst Jobs

POSITION SNAPSHOT:

As a Category Management Analyst, you will be a pivotal member of our Category Management team, responsible for utilizing data-driven insights to identify inventory gaps, maintain and audit pricing contracts, and contribute to data-driven decision-making within assigned categories. This position is ideal for individuals with a strong analytical background who are eager to apply their skills in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

You will be an outstanding Category Management Analyst if…

• Maintain a professional relationship with vendors while promoting company initiatives.
• Implement methods to gather and manage category data
• Plan and implement supply chain/Business optimization projects/software such as ArrowStream Supply Chain Technology, FoodLogiQ software, pricing contract management.
• Resourcefulness and ability to devise creative solutions to problems.
• Review and analyze gathered data to locate areas of opportunity in the supply chain process and develop methods to improve.
• Ability to effectively communicate and influence key stakeholders to support to process improvements and operational decisions.
• Manage pricing contracts to ensure compliance of negotiated pricing through all Supply Chain purchase channels.
• Seek to improve all aspects of the supply chain department by reviewing current methodology and processes.

Day in the life…

• ArrowStream reporting, verification of contracted prices through broadline and smallware's distributors
• GPO contracted item list review and recommendations
• GPO cost and volume allowance verification and reporting
• Support Category Managers with integrated data to align volumes, available suppliers, in preparation for RFP/RFI
• Proactively identify risks through daily distributor inventory updates & predictive analytics
• Assist with menu costing and analysis
• Product categories spend analysis through SKU rationalization, off contracted spend, and new contracting opportunities.
• Commodity reporting, market changes that impact monthly pricing
• Cost savings/rebates compliance, tracking and reporting.

Education, Experience, Required Skills:

• Exceptional ability to conceptualize large-picture projects and foresee challenge and needs to be addressed.
• Experience analyzing and improving sales & inventory data, information, and processes.
• Professional communication skills are essential when conversing and negotiating with vendors
• Previous experience with supply chain analytics
• Ability to research companies and determine the best vendors to reach out to for various project/products
• 1-3years college degree or equivalent in in supply chain management, logistics, business management or related fields
• Experience working in and maintaining databases using Microsoft Excel and others relevant to company processes/software
