As a Category Manager you’ll act as a strategic business partner to the Logistics & Distribution Services groups, collaborating on the development and execution of sourcing events and negotiation strategies for relevant areas of spend. You will partner with functions to apply best in class sourcing processes and demonstrate your knowledge of our off-price business model through the guidance you offer during the vendor selection and negotiation process

Responsibilities:

• Studies and tracks global strategic market dynamics and their implications on cost, quality and risk.
• Leads contracting and contract compliance within specific categories and identifies opportunities for improvement with the functions and operating divisions.
• Manages the rationalization of supply base for all categories under responsibility.
• Creates and executes global strategic category plans including demand management via sophist
• Participates and leads cross-functional teams in the execution of sourcing and supply management strategies that contribute to optimizing over $3.9B of annual supply chain spend.
• Develops and implements communication strategies to ensure accurate and timely flow of information across all levels of the organization.
• Anticipates global trends and manages their impact on products and services.

Experience:

• Leads cross functional teams in the execution of low to high value projects.
• Highly analytical approach, leveraging your exceptional Microsoft 365 Suite proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong presentation skills with experience presenting information to executive leaders.
• Knowledge of the Supply Chain industry as well as current trends. Experience in one or more of the various modes including Truckload, LTL, Intermodal, Dedicated Fleet, Small Parcel, Ocean, Air, as well as Contract Logistics.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and 5+ years diverse strategic sourcing experience, Master’s Degree or equivalent experience preferred. GEP, Coupa or similar esourcing/procurement optimization/P2P experience.
