Senior Category Manager – Hawaii (Grocery)

POSITION SUMMARY: Senior Category Manager work out of CVS Hawaii Longs Drugs Merchandising and Marketing department in Kapolei, Hawaii and will lead assigned merchandise categories and the respective P&L. Senior Category managers have a full scope of responsibility for attaining budgeted sales, gross margin, and building market share within their category. Overall, this position will be responsible for achieving the Merchandising objectives as they relate to the CVS Health and Longs Drugs Strategic plan.
This position must be based out of Hawaii
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
Minimum: 43,700
Maximum: 100,000
Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.
Required Qualifications
The Hawaii Central work requirement is 2 days in Office and the remaining work from off-site or home when applicable.
This position must be based out of Hawaii
REQUIRED SKILLS: In order of importance, list specific skills or talents that a qualified incumbent should possess (i.e., management of large staff, computer applications, subject knowledge, etc.)

• Presentation skills and excellent verbal and written communication required
• Knowledge of various purchasing agreement arrangements and contracts
• Good PC application skills and ability to learn new systems quickly
• Experience with purchasing or merchandise planning for a drug store or grocery chain.
• Strong organizational skills
• Solid negotiating skills
• 2 or more years of retail management experience and two or more years of merchandising buying/planning experience
